3 images of final models & materials & sections

The top workshop is designed for HESON BLUMENTHAL (Dinner) and the underground studio is designed for STEINWAT & SONS (Piano). Top is speaking of boxes and bottom is speaking of curves.
The two words chosen to draw the sections were "stratified" for top and "illumination" for bottom.  It can be seen that the top studio is still keeping the boxes in layers but in order to stable the whole structure, a big concrete frame is load on the top of the two cuboids. Otherwise there is a lot of changes for the bottom since the first model. As the drawing section and the previous sketchup models shown, the beginning idea for the bottom studio is to create the roof and floor with edges and corners, which are randomly and more like "hard" "tough" or "intense" but not appropriate for making piano. After that when I designed the stairs I was inspired by the shape of grand piano and its keyboard. Therefore, the keywords for the bottom changed to "curve" and "continuously". To keep the idea of edges of sections, I use the structure rebars which connected the roof and floor to describe it.

Finally, the bottom's main tone is "black and white" with custom texture for piano and the top structure----boxes in different layers is simple but stable with the concrete feeling.
